Hakone has been Tokyo’s place to rest for centuries. Its valleys steam with sulphur, its old road is paved with stones laid in the Edo period, and its inns are built around the bath.
Fuji is a mood more than a sight. Some days it fills the sky. Some days it is not there at all. We plan for both and do not promise the view.
One night is a taste. Two lets you take the bath at dawn, walk the old Tōkaidō in the cedars, and see some art without hurrying.
